Inloophuis, Eugenie Prévinaireweg 61, 2151 BB Nieuw-Vennep, The Netherlands.
Over the years, many Tulips from the range of Jan Ligthart have been named after
celebrities, presidents, companies and institutions.
This beautifully fringed
white Tulip is named 'Armscote’, after Armscote Manor. Deborah Williams of
Armscote Manor raises money in various ways for Shipston Home Nursing, a charity
based in Warwickshire, England providing the
best quality of life, nursing and care for those experiencing terminal illness.
Shipston Home Nursing will provides nursing and respite care within the last
three months of life for those who wish to remain in their own home.
Tulipa 'Armscote' is being sold in memory of
Deborah's
brother Leighton, who died at the age of 48 from cancer.
The ‘Adamas’ Inloophuis has been chosen because of the
many similarities to Shipston Home Nursing, offering care and support during and
after illness. They offer adults and children with cancer and their
relatives
support in the form of psycho-oncological counselling, contact with other people
with cancer, creative therapies and information in a 'healing environment'.
The Adamas inloophuis also gives support in all non-medical affairs. Everyone is
welcome to come in for a chat, an arm around the shoulder, information, therapy
or a moment of rest and reflection; they are given an opportunity to forget
their illness while pursuing a sporting or creative activity.
The profits from the sale of this new Tulipa ‘Armscote' will be donated by
Armscote Manor and Dix Export BV to Shipston Home Nursing.
Shipston Home Nursing and the Adamas Inloophuis are fully
committed to helping sick people and their relatives; both are dependent on
